Hallway & Kitchen LVT Installation
Case Study: Transforming a Hallway & Kitchen with Luxury Vinyl Tile
This recent installation showcases how MH Flooring transformed a dated hallway and kitchen into a warm, modern and cohesive home using high-quality Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT). The project included a full uplift of old ceramic tiles, subfloor preparation, levelling, and the installation of both herringbone and plank LVT across multiple rooms.
Before: Dated Tiles & Subfloor Issues
The hallway and kitchen were previously tiled with older ceramic flooring. While functional, the tiles created a cold atmosphere and showed signs of unevenness and wear.
Subfloor Preparation - The Foundation of a Perfect Finish
Before installing LVT, the entire tiled area was uplifted, the subfloor cleaned, repaired and prepared. A high-quality levelling compound was applied to ensure a smooth and stable base - essential for long-term durability.
Hallway Installation: Herringbone with Feature Border
The homeowner selected a warm oak LVT in a classic herringbone pattern for the hallway. A feature border was added to define the space and create a premium look.
Kitchen Installation: Modern, Clean Plank LVT
To create a seamless visual flow, the kitchen was fitted with matching-tone plank LVT. This provides warmth underfoot and a contemporary finish while eliminating the cold feel of the old ceramic tiles.
The Final Result
The completed project demonstrates how quality LVT paired with expert installation can transform a home. The new flooring is warmer, easier to clean and visually cohesive across all connected spaces.
